WHAT IS LYMPHEDEMA?

Lymph • edema (lim – fa – DEE – ma)  is chronic swelling (edema) caused by a build up of fluid (lymph) that occurs when the lymphatic system is either faulty or damaged. There is no cure for lymphedema, but it can be effectively treated.

Treatment Approach

The recognized standard of care for lymphedema is Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT). CDT consists of four components: Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), Skin Care, Compression Bandaging, and Therapeutic Exercise.

We stand together to support, empower, and advocate for individuals affected by lymphedema, fostering their journey toward optimal health and well-being.

Our Certified Lymphedema Therapists are extensively trained in all aspects of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), including manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, skincare, and specialized lymphatic exercises.

We assist clients in managing swelling caused by trauma, surgery, radiati on, or infection.
